Here goes...

I have been told that I should be blogging. After considering it and putting it off for a while, I decided that the light is green. In deciding to start this endeavor, I have pondered what to blog about; I don't travel excessively, I don't have kids and I really don't want to debate politics with the computer. So I decided to basically do random things that are rolling around in my brain, hence the title, "The nonsensical ravings of a lunatic mind."

I decided to get my feet wet by starting with a list of random things about me. We'll see how this goes, and then I try to post something more interesting soon. Here goes...

25 Random Things :

1 - I make a good borscht.
2 - I have a bizarre sense of humor. Usually the more obvious or stupid the better! (Monty
Python, Mel Brooks, The Muppets, Cohen brothers, etc.)
3 - I know all the words to "American Pie". And on a side note, I get pissed when people only
sing the chorus. Dumb, but there it is.
4 - My super power is the ability to get things on sale, even when there is no sale posted. This
has been known to rub off on people that are shopping with me.
5 - I love Westerns!
6 - I seriously looked into joining the Marines and the Coast Guard.
7 - Growing up I wanted to be a chef.
8 - If I could live in any decade, I would rock the 1940's!
9 - I own, and watch all 6 Rocky movies.
10 - I love to garden.
11 - I have a fear of praying mantis and slugs.
12 - I dream of going to Jordan to see Petra.
13 - The biggest pet peeve of mine is milk left on the counter.
14 - I love the mountains and the ocean equally. I would be happy to live anywhere, as long
that I am close to at least one of them.
15 - I adore the South!
16 - I cannot visit Barnes and Nobles without spending lots of money.
17 - I would marry Cary Grant even if he was 120 years old in a wheelchair with a liver spotted
head and dentures! :)
18 - I will eat Swedish Fish until I'm ill. I just can't stop.
19 - I collect small boxes from all of my travels. (I do accept them from friends and family's
travels as well!)
20 - I am a text book Scorpio.
21 - If I could have any pet in the world, I would have a sloth and name him, St Francis.
22 - I enjoy shooting.
23 - I hate melon. I pretty much eat everything else.
24 - I held a baby crocodile in Belize.
25 - I love the church!
